SOUL MIDWIFE // INTUITIVE ENERGY HEALER // PSYCHOSPIRITUAL COACH // END-OF-LIFE DOULA // AUTHOR

I am a Storyteller.

I believe in the power of story

as a healer, an alchemist and wise sage.

'Bernadette is a powerful storyteller, she has the skill of a lyricist. Her luminous threads from the first word to the last draw her readers into a transformative immersion within the pages. She has an innate knowing of how to work with the vibration of words, to reach the hearts and minds of her audience.

Her colourful, diverse and curious nature is expressed through her narrative: the elements of the craft entwined with her ability to write from a conscious place, is a powerful combination.

Bernadette writes to create change, to inspire, to grow the spirit, and invites you into a literary world where you experience life from a new perspective; with a greater vision exploring life from an expansive viewpoint.

Words are a powerful connector for her, the golden threads of wisdom she weaves richly and profoundly through her writing connect her to a wide audience: she conveys her messages through a higher vibration that works magically on the reader.' Natasha Gilmour, The Kind Press

Marigold, a free-spirited Irish girl, whose life is veiled in mystique and magic from the moment she is found as a newborn, wrapped in a red shawl amidst a bed of marigolds in the rugged hills of The Burren.

She embodies courage, in her maiden season to womanhood, in the mystery of New York City, 1968—a time of transformation from dance clubs, university halls and the dark Mafia inner world.

As her curiosity to explore the mystery knowledge of the world and her feminine expression intensifies, she encounters individuals of profound wisdom who guide her. Along the way, she discovers her dark goddess, faces death, betrayal, abuse, addiction,

self-destruction.

From a lover who teaches the power of love over fear, to women who share with her the ancient dance of life, to the dark stranger who guides her to remembering truth, Marigold’s journey demands she embrace her intuition and trust in her power, and ultimately embody the essence of the

Divine Feminine.

Set against the landscapes of Ireland and New York, is infused with themes of love, loss, passion, mystery, and spirituality, her story echoes of ancient wisdom and timeless truths.

In this stirring tale, Marigold's narrative serves as an illuminating path for others to find their way home. With reverence for both the Divine Masculine and the reclamation of the Divine Feminine— she of the light and the dark—she imparts the wisdom and the way of the Mother, the way of the Soul, the way of Love.

The Mysteries of Marigold brings to life the story of an enigmatic golden maiden, the daughter of many, a healer, guide and ancestral storyteller.

BENEATH THE VEIL is the story of Clara, a beautiful young Irish girl, and her quest for for truth, freedom and wisdom, that which lies beneath the veil.

As Clara seeks her freedom, she struggles to find the Divine Light to transform herself. Haunted by the dark secrets of her past: a deadly betrayal, unspoken and unspeakable, she is too scared to reveal her truth, knowing she will be further condemned and punished by her brother or Father Colin Stanley or Padraig McDermott.

Her silence a betrayal of her soul. She waits in the nothingness, scared, she too, will become a fallen woman of the Magdalene Laundry. Locked away. As she listens through the silence that surrounds her, the blood-stained truth engulfs her and her family. She must symbolically cleanse herself of her sins while the endless penance to God continues through abuse, humiliation and beatings.

On her journey she is reunited with her Aunt Maeve, a wise woman who teaches her the Gypsy ways and how to dance with the truths of the world. Guided by Maeve, Clara begins a spiritual odyssey into realms of light and shadow, toward a final communion that will awaken or destroy her. Will she rise from the darkness of the past and be free from the indoctrination of the remote Irish Catholic village?

This tale, told with heart, speaks to the soul in each of us, delivering moments of illumination, a potent mix of divine feminine and masculine history, which will inspire you to remember who you are. Ultimately, Beneath The Veil is a story about being able to forgive our past and trust in our becoming.

'This tale, told with heart, speaks to the soul in each of us.'

'Bold and empowering, Beneath The Veil is a reminder that there is light in times of darkness.'

'Beneath The Veil is a book that cuts deep, exposing a world of abuse, corruption and the gross misuse of power.'

'This book grabs your heart and holds it tight.'

'This is by far the most compelling book I have read in years. She will grab you by the heart and transforms you.'

'Beneath the Veil is a brilliant book. So many victims of abuse are writing their stories these days; several have become therapists or healers. Many include pointers at the end of their books, but this is the first book I’ve read that actually takes one through the process of healing, seamlessly evolving from the plot line into a self-help book without being preachy.

There is a spirituality, a divine essence to the process which I gather is what the author uses in her own practice of kinesiology and advance theta healing.

As O’Connor writes: “I am not my past, nor am I my future. I am me, just a girl who has become a woman and evolving into a wiser one. And as I share this wisdom with others, I hope they may be inspired to step into their own path of BECOMING." Begin by reading Beneath the Veil. Unforgettable!'

Let’s Go Home, Finding There While Staying Here is a timeless tale of love and loss, truth, growth and spirituality that speaks to anyone who has ever felt lost.

How do we find there while staying here - especially when darkness shrouds our path?

This is the central question of Let’s Go Home, Finding There While Staying Here, Bernadette O’Connor’s debut novel. It is the story of Halia, a beautiful free-spirited soul, and her quest to find there, the elusive weird and wonderful of her childhood and of snowy mountain escapes.

As she runs from her pain, Halia creates a façade to find acceptance in a world where she feels lost, alone and misunderstood. She makes friends with Snow, who promises to take her home, only to slowly steal her soul. To the outside world Halia has it all, but she sees through the façade she has carefully constructed. Knowing it can never be enough, she sticks a needle in her arm, desperately seeking there, unable to find it here.

On her journey back, her father, who abandoned her as a child, teaches her to stop running and face her pain, and an enchanting wise woman, Tabitha enters her life and guides her through her darkness and the hidden stories within her soul. Halia must voyage beyond her comfort to reclaim herself and find her way home. She discovers that there is a thin veil between joy and heartbreak, light and dark, here and there – will she lift the veil and embrace what lies beyond?
